Layne Gneiting
Lecturer

With weathered feet upon the path, I set out to find what I never knew I sought.

Layne Gneiting is an international storyteller who weaves storytelling, music, and business into a zany, interdisciplinary blend. He has performed in Britain and throughout the western United States, and in spring 2008 presented his children’s “Origin Myth” writing course at the Storytelling Gathering conference in Exeter, UK. Layne joined the BIS faculty in 2002 and has been pushing creative and artistic boundaries ever since. Students emerge somewhat rattled, but invigorated, from Layne’s courses, as Layne integrates performance to provoke discovery that is centered in both body and intellect. In 2002 Layne earned his Ph.D. (Arizona State University) in Communication/Performance Studies with specialty in Storytelling. For additional information, visit Layne’s personal website at http://adventureteller.com.
