Here are some great resources to help you register for classes:

Things to know:

  • The Schedule of Classes will only give you your first three choices for a given class; select “View all Sections” to see everything that is offered for that class.
  • Pay attention to the meeting dates—we offer classes that start throughout the semester.
  • Pay attention to the location of the course—we offer classes on the Tempe, Polytechnic, and Phoenix campuses (and online, too).
  • Be aware of course pre-requisites—you can find these by clicking on the five-digit line number for the course you are interested in. Overrides or exceptions are processed by the department offering the course.
  • If you get an error message when trying to register, copy that message and send it to your advisor. Some notes are self-explanatory, some require further investigation, but having this note makes it much easier for your advisor to diagnose any problems.
  • Try searching the new Schedule of Classes & Course Catalog! The look is very different, but it may be easier to find the classes you need.
  • Be persistent and patient! ASU wants you in the courses you need to graduate—check the schedule periodically for added classes and new options.
