Requesting a DARS Report
A DARS report is an academic tool designed to match the college courses you’ve taken against the specific degree requirements of any ASU degree.
To Request a Copy of Your DARS Report
- Go to: https://www.asu.edu/interactive/
- Click on “Academic Record Information”
- Select, “Request/View your Degree Audit (DARS)—For Undergraduates”
- Supply your ASURITE UserID and Password
- Click “login”
- Select “Request/View Your Degree Audit (DARS)”
- Click on “How to Read an Audit” if you are not familiar with how an audit is set up.
- Read the instructions and click on “continue”
- Select “Request a Degree Audit”
Do not use the “Back” and “Foward” buttons. Click on “Main Menu” or other links to move between pages.
If you know your major:
- Select your campus
- Follow the on-screen instructions to find your major (BIS majors: use “I” for Interdisciplinary Studies)
- Select your degree program
- Select your catalog year (degree requirements can change from one catalog to the next, so this is important to get correct. It is your responsibility to know your catalog year; ask your advisor if you are not sure).
- Click on “Submit Degree Audit Request”
- Your audit will show as “pending” on the Audit Summary List
- Sign back in after 20 minutes to review your completed audit
If you want to run a “what if” audit to see how you might be doing in a particular major:
- Select the campus that offers the major that interests you
- Follow the on-screen instructions to find that major
- Select a degree program
- Select a catalog year (make sure you’re eligible to use the catalog year you’ve selected)
- Click on “Submit Degree Audit Request”
- Sign back in after 20 minutes to review your completed audit
If you want to run an exploratory/undeclared audit or simply want to run a general studies audit:
- Select your campus
- Follow the on-screen instructions and select: G—General Studies
- Select a catalog year (make sure you’re eligible to use the catalog year you’ve selected).
- Click on “Submit Degree Audit Request”
- Sign back in after 20 minutes to review your completed audit
When your audit status has changed from “Pending” to “Completed,” you will able to view your audit online. You can then print your DARS report the same way that you would print any other web page.
Your DARS report will appear in three colors: black, green, and red.
- Information in black is general information, such as your name, the major and degree you’ve selected, and other bits and pieces needed to ‘frame’ your audit.
- Information in green represents specific degree requirements that have been satisfied (also indicated by “OK” and “+” in the left hand margin).
- Information in red represents specific degree requirements that have not been satisfied (also indicated by “NO” and “-” in the left hand margin).
