Welcome to the Social Science Web site of the School of Letters and Sciences at the Polytechnic campus. The faculty is fairly new. Our programs are still in the articulation and approval phases. The site should answer your questions about who we are, what we do and our general direction. If, by any chance, you don’t find what you are looking for, or desire answers to questions that are not addressed on the site, please make contact with us. Our contact information appears throughout this site. We are eager to serve you. We are particularly interested in hearing from prospective students interested in “polytechnic education” and community members and colleagues who desire faculty-level service and collaboration. Since our programs and other activities are still being initiated, I encourage you to visit our site from time to time. If what you are looking for is not here today, it may well be tomorrow.
The pieces are quickly coming into place. We moved into our new facilities in Santa Catalina Hall in July 2008. These facilities came with a fully mediated, state-of-the-art social science laboratory. The Arizona Board of Regents have approved (effective fall 2008) our Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Science, Technology, and Society. It is the only comprehensive program of its type within the state. As well, our human resources are expanding to accommodate our programmatic and service missions.
