Interdisciplinary Humanities and Communication

Offering Four Degrees and an Array of General Studies Courses

Based at ASU's Polytechnic campus, the faculty of Interdisciplinary Humanities and Communication offers undergraduate degree programs in English, history, communication, and technical communication, as well as teaching courses in religious studies, philosophy, and Spanish. We are dedicated to interdisciplinary research across and beyond the humanities. We are dedicated to our students and committed to excellence and innovation in teaching. We teach face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses in all our areas of expertise.

American Historical Association
The organization’s home page contains links to other historical organizations, research resources, and a guide on careers for students of history. The guide is particularly useful for those thinking of doing a history major but aren’t sure what they could actually do with the degree.

National Council of Teachers of English
NCTE is an important organization for anyone who teaches the English language arts—from kindergarten through graduate school.

Organization of American Historians
This is a major history association. It has a strong focus on teaching history at the elementary and secondary levels, as well as public history (museum curator, site interpreters, etc).

Superstition Review

Superstition Review is an important teaching tool at ASU. Committed to publishing fresh art, fiction, interviews, nonfiction and poetry, the magazine is student designed, student maintained, and student edited.
